Blackberry hearts and postcard

Just finished this little bracelet inspired by a tutorial in a magazine (can´t remember if it was Beadwork or Beadworker´s guild, sorry). Those should be hearts, but when I showed it to dh he spontaniously said "Oh, blackberries!". And I think he is right. They look a lot more like blackberries than hearts.
And this is a postcard I made for a member of my online group for her birthday. The photo is real bad. The card looks better in real (I promise) cause the round shaped flowers are a lot more 3D than it is visible here. I found this "technique" in an old magazine "Stitch".

Postcards / Postkarten

These are two postcards that were sent out as birthday cards to 2 members of my online group. It was fun to try some stitches on my machine and create those flowers on the second one with cords and beads.

Card swap

Today I received this lovely hand stitched card from Vicki in the UK.
I love the colours and the way Vicki added so many different stitches and beads to this lovely flower in the center. Thank you Vicki, I really love this card!

This is the card I sent in return
It´s the first time I worked with velvet. The white parts are velvet and the various blue horizontal lines are yarn stitched down by machine. I then cut up the velvet piece and layered it on a piece of Pelmet Vilene that was painted with Lumiere. Then I added a layer of Tulle and free machine quilted it down with blue and silver thread.

Felting in blue and orange

After a very long time I made a postcard. It is from leftovers of the piece I started today. The piece below so far is only felted with the embellisher. I will do some FME and maybe some beading tomorrow.
