Beate asked about the software for fractals. There is freeware available on the internet and if interested I can recommend the class at Quiltuniversity.
The software I used is called Fractal Explorer and can be downloaded for free here: FE
It is a bit difficult to start when you don´t know what to do. I think on this site is a tutorial, too. And if you do a search on google for Fractals or Fraktale you will find tons of info and galleries.
I only know a tiny bit of this stuff, as it is quite complicated, but even with this little knowledge one can find stunning images which can be printed on farbic.
