It´s a quite simple design, but to me it shows that this continent is a lot of open space and that the colours of nature often are not as bright as the other images we have when thinking of Africa.
Maybe I´ll do another one with real bright colours as I also have to think of the traditional clothes of african women. They are so colourful.

Your Africa quilts are looking nice. It's always so interestinmg to see a place or a feeling represented in the abstract.
I am drawn to your blog from "quiltkunstquilt" as I am also living in Germany (though, I am an American). Do you find quilting in Europe very different than what you see from American artists?
